During the Autumn term , we will continue to develop our Welsh language skills through the Y Gromlech programme. During the Autumn term, our focus will be on First Person (Y Person Cyntaf), helping children talk confidently about themselves, their likes, feelings and personal information.

Through weekly Welsh lessons and the use of incidental Welsh throughout the school day, pupils will practise a range of words and phrases, including:

• Dw i'n... (I am...)
• Fy enw i yw... (My name is...)
• Dw i'n hoffi... (I like...)
• Dw i ddim yn hoffi... (I don't like...)
• Sut wyt ti? (How are you?)
• Dw i'n teimlo... (I feel...)
• Colours, numbers, days of the week and classroom language

Children will be encouraged to use these phrases regularly in conversations, classroom activities and daily routines, helping them to become more confident and independent Welsh speakers. We look forward to seeing the children develop their Welsh language skills and celebrating their progress throughout the year.
