The World of Work!

This half term, the children in Gwdihw will be embarking on a exciting journey into the world of careers and work. We'll dive into how people do all sorts of jobs and challenge the idea that certain jobs are just for boys or girls. Along the way, we'll also learn about money, for example, like how to handle money from different places and understand that people have different amounts of money. Plus, we'll get to know all the different ways people can pay for things. Throughout this topic we will be figuring out what our unique skills are and how they can be helpful for our futures. Most importantly, we will learn how setting goals helps us to achieve our dreams. It's going to be a blast!

To start our topic we have read the book 'What Jobs Could YOU Do?' by Catherine Barr. We enjoyed finding out about all the different jobs that people do. We talked about how some of us would like to do a noisy job and some of us would like a quiet job! Some of us wanting to work inside and some wanted to work outside.
