We listened to the story, The Word Collector by Peter Hamilton-Reynolds. The little boy in the story discovers the magic of the words all around him. We have decided to collect words that interest us and create a display using these words in our classroom. So, if you see a word that interests you; catches your attention; words that pop off the page etc. – make a note of them and bring them in to class!
We have been working hard to develop our Welsh language skills. Useful packs have been sent home. We also have a new class mascot – Dewi! Dewi the dragon will be sent home with a different child every Friday. You can take photos of Dewi visiting different places and record the information in the Welsh diary. We look forward to seeing what adventures Dewi will go on this year.
