We have been exploring forces this term. The children have been creating things that we can push, pull, twist, stretch and squash. The children made fairy doors, cars and a bridge where they could watch forces happen in real time Ardderchog dosbarth cadno!!

This week in Literacy, we have been exploring more into what nouns and adjectives are and how we use them to write a character description. We also explored new vocabulary by understanding what synonyms are! We love learning new words! We found the Scottish word for small, "wee" really funny! We loved finding our synonyms partners in the class game too! Look at all the words we found for happy, big and small! Ardderchog!
Our hook into our new story we are learning this term, "the way back home." We created rockets of our own to help us get the alien back home. Its a story about belonging! Look at our amazing rockets! Da iawn Dosbarth Cadno!
Our lightbulb project in Llangyfelach church this afternoon. The children had a wonderful time taking part in 4 activities! Thank you to the church for involving in us in such a special project!
What’s in our community that belongs to Morriston? The park of course! We also had lovely discussions about who’s older siblings attend Morriston comprehensive and also who goes to the local leisure centre for swimming! The children were so excited and had a great morning!

Thank you to the grown ups who let us bring in our special things that belong to us! The children spoke so beautifully about their amazing things that mean something special to them. We visited “Clos Cadno” today to understand why we are called Dosbarth Cadno! The children were very excited to visit the street which our class name belongs too! Ardderchog!

Today in Maths, we have been learning how to write numbers to 20 in words. We also understand what the word, “numeral” means. Da iawn!
PE - this week we created a 4-element sequence while combining balance, rolling, jumping, rocking and spinning. The children performed their gymnastics move to other groups using a recognised start and finish shape. Bendigedig!
First week in Year 2, Dosbarth Cadno! We have been reading all about the little alien who was lost named, “Beegu.” We had lots of class discussions about how we would treat Beegu on planet Earth. The children said they would show her lots of care, kindness and respect. They even made Beegu her very own alien friends that we brought to life using AI animation! Da iawn superstar!
Look at us in Blwyddyn 2! We have had the best first week back into school! The children have enjoyed exploring their new classroom, reading lots of new stories together such as, "the book with no pictures" and telling me lots about their summer holidays and family stories! Miss Collins feels so lucky to have such beautiful, kind children in her class!
