Welcome to Dosbarth Gwdihw! We are very excited to be welcoming you to our class. We will make sure that your child is happy and supported throughout their learning journey and have an exciting and memorable time during their time in Dosbarth Gwdihw! Please remember at any time, any question or concern, we are here to help!

What you need to know: 

PE - Thursday

No PE kit will be required until the children are in Year 2, but please can they wear comfy joggers or leggings and trainers (ideally Velcro) to school on a Thursday.

Forest – Wednesday

Dosbarth Gwdihw will have a dedicated outdoor learning session on Wednesday, however, please can you provide outdoor gear (waterproof trousers, coat and wellies) for your child as they will have access to the outdoors continuously. We will send them home for a wash or update as necessary!

Snack

The children are invited to bring a piece of fruit and water with them to school each day. During the day they will have continuous access to the snack area. We ask you kindly that their snack is prepared and labelled with their name. ​

Reading Files

Please bring in the children’s reading file on a Monday and we will return on a Friday.

Our Top Tips

• Talk to us – even if you think it’s something small, we are always willing to listen​
• Label everything, please!
• Please limit the amount of things that your child brings with them as we are short on storage space.
