Thank you for considering Glyncollen Primary School for your child's learning. Starting school is a special time; a time for new experiences, new friends and a step towards more independence for your child. At our school we offer a unique transition process that will provide you with an opportunity to meet the staff, find out about the school and allow your child to start building relationships a whole year before starting. We do this because we understand that this is a big step for both parents and children, and want you to have all the support needed for an easy transition to starting school. 

Stay and Play

Our stay and play sessions will allow you and your child to meet the staff and other children and their parents that will be attending Glyncollen Primary School. It is a relaxed session where children can play, engage in activities and socialise. We will introduce you to familiar songs and routines that are used during our school day and provide tips and tricks for preparing your child to start school. Question and Answer Sessions

Just before your child is due to start school, you will be invited to attend our question and answer session. This session is for parents to find out all the important information you will need to know before starting, for example, school uniform and pick up and drop off times. 

Family and toddler groups

We would also like to take this opportunity to let you know about our family and toddler group that runs every Wednesday between 9:30am and 11am. This session is open for anyone to attend at a cost of £2 and would love to see you there.
