🛸 A Very Strange Visitor...
This week, something very strange appeared in our classroom! The children discovered a collection of clues and made predictions about who they might belong to, along with lots of interesting questions. One theory was that the owner must be a girl because there was a hula hoop, but Robi quickly proved that theory wrong by winning our class hula hooping competition!
This mystery introduced our whole-school text, Beegu. We explored the front cover and blurb, created our own Beegus and made friends for her so she wouldn't feel lonely. We also discussed belonging, online safety and how to make others feel welcome. The children created online safety posters for Beegu and Welsh welcome posters to help her feel part of our school community. What a fantastic first week full of creativity, empathy and thoughtful discussion in Year 6!🌟
