Our aim is not simply to teach children what to learn, but to help them understand themselves as learners. Through our Growing Great approach, we support children to develop confidence, independence, resilience and curiosity so that they are ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities.

We want learning to be meaningful and engaging. Through literacy, numeracy, Welsh language development and authentic learning experiences, we encourage children to ask questions, think deeply, solve problems and develop the confidence to share their ideas. We are committed to helping every child make progress from their own starting point and to become increasingly capable, reflective and independent.

What makes Glyncollen special is our belief that children learn best when they feel known, understood and supported. We work closely with families, listen carefully to our learners and continually reflect on how we can provide the very best experiences for the children in our care.
