Croeso i ddosbarth Draenog!
Welcome to Dosbarth Draenog! We are very excited to be welcoming you to our class. We understand that this is a big step for both parents and children, so our team is here to support you along the way. We will make sure that your child is happy and supported throughout their learning journey and have an exciting and memorable time during their time in Dosbarth Draenog.
What you need to know:
Class Teachers
Monday - Wednesday: Ms Evans
Wednesday - Friday: Mrs Myatt
PE
No PE kit will be required until the children are in Year 2, but please can they wear comfy joggers or leggings and trainers (ideally Velcro) to school on a Thursday.
Forest
Dosbarth Draenog will have a dedicated outdoor learning session on Tuesday, however, please can you provide outdoor gear (waterproof trousers and coat) for your child as they will have access to the outdoors continuously. We will send them home for a wash or update as necessary!
Snack
The children are invited to bring a piece of fruit and water with them to school each day. During the day they will have continuous access to the snack area. We ask you kindly that their snack is prepared and labelled with their name.
Our Top Tips
Talk to us – even if you think it’s something small, we are always willing to listen
Label everything!
Please limit the amount of things that your child brings with them as we are short on storage space.
Our Class 'Draenog' - Dorian
Every Friday, our class mascot 'Dorian y Draenog' (Hedgehog in Welsh) will be sent home with one pupil to spend the weekend at their house! We kindly ask that we share what we did over the weekend inside the book and use the Welsh phrases placed on the first page to help enhance our Welsh inside school. It would be lovely to see what we all get up to over the weekend and we will then share with out friends when Dorian and the book is returned to school! Mrs Myatt has done an example for you from her weekend! Diolch
