- The Big Health and Wellbeing Conversation - pupil group Year 5What is the Big Conversation? Since 2014, Swansea Council has had a Children and Young People’s Rights Scheme that puts a duty on the Council to make sure that all of our decisions take into account the rights of the child. We want to make sure that all of our policies and the things we do have a positive effect on children and young people. The Big Conversation is the name of the events that we run to get your views on certain subjects and is a county wide mechanism to hear the collective voice of Children and Young People.

- Stay and Play14:00 - 15:00Children who are due to start school in September 2024, January 2025 or April 2025 are invited to our stay and play session. The session will allow you and your child to meet the staff and other children and their parents who will be attending Glyncollen Primary School. It is a relaxed session where children can play, engage in activities and socialise. We will introduce you to familiar songs and routines that are used during our school day and provide tips and tricks for preparing your child to start school.
- Technocamps Workshops - Years 1-6We want to support you and your children on their digital journey. Our mission is to inspire, motivate and engage people with computational thinking and promote Computer Science as underpinning all aspects of modern society, while encouraging young people to consider STEM careers. We do this by going into schools, providing a range of events and uploading a whole host of activities and resources to our website. Our at-home activity packs all come with simple instructions so you can learn along with your child. Each resource has different documents, including top tips and workbooks that you can work through at your own pace.
